BEMOVING is a nonprofit organization led by LGBTQ+ dance makers and educators who are dedicated to building nurturing and communal environments for the research, development, and dissemination of dance works and movement practices.

We operate with three points of focus:

• PRODUCTIONS: engaging progressive LGBTQ+ artists to create innovative dance content for both live and digital audiences

• EDUCATION: hosting financially accessible high-calibre movement workshops for professional dancers and enthusiasts alike

• RESIDENCIES: producing residency programs that enable dance artists from historically marginalized groups opportunities to further their craft
